The oldest water sports club in Wolfsburg

The Wolfsburger Kanu-Club e.V. (WKC) was founded in 1952 by 16 canoeing enthusiasts on a greenfield site, so to speak. The boathouse was only completed five years later. At that time, the Allersee did not yet exist and the only "sports ground" was the Mittelland Canal. Today, the canoe club is located on the southern shore of Lake Allersee, opposite the Colombian Pavilion.

Canoeing is a sport for all ages and for the whole family. The members of the WKC practise canoeing on many international waters - including white water rafting, canoe racing and dragon boating. Training takes place on the Allersee and the Mittelland Canal. With the annual regatta, which attracts visitors from all over northern Germany, the Wolfsburg Canoe Club provides a very special highlight in the Allerpark's calendar of events.

If you fancy trying out the broad spectrum of the canoe club, then you should come along to the popular taster paddling session! This takes place free of charge every Thursday from April to October from 17:00 on the club grounds/Allersee.

What do you need to paddle? You only need to bring your free swimmer badge and sportswear. The rest of the equipment is provided by the canoe club!
